'[The work is] essentially the result of the remainder. Beginning with over 400 prints, the images were removed, given away, or lost, until the remaining 50 were there. I spent almost every day, looking at them at least once a day, removing as I went. Alternatively, I would give the stack to people I would meet, and let them take the prints that they wanted. The imperfections are the result of this process.'
